“Because of Samaritan, I Am Alive Today”

For more than 12 years, Samaritan Health Ministries has been a lifeline for one patient and her family.

When Yolanda first came to the area after moving from California, she and her family were trying to make a new start—but there simply wasn’t enough money to cover the healthcare she needed. Without access to regular medical care, her diabetes became dangerously uncontrolled, eventually leading to a stay in the ICU. After her hospital stay, she learned about Samaritan Health Ministries.

Yolanda remembers how grateful she felt when she learned that she could receive healthcare at no cost. Samaritan was there not only for her, but also for her husband and two sons when they had nowhere else to turn.

Over the years, the care she received helped her better manage her health and bring her numbers into a more manageable range. She says she has felt cared for by the people at Samaritan—and remembers how one of our doctors continued checking on her when she was sick with COVID until she was feeling better.

Today, when asked what might have happened without Samaritan, Yolanda's answer is simple and powerful: “Because of Samaritan Health Ministries, I am alive today!”

She wants donors to know that their support truly changes lives.

“Please donate if you can,” she shared. “So many people need this place… it could really change somebody’s life.”

For patients facing the impossible choice between paying for everyday needs and getting the healthcare they need, Samaritan Health Ministries is more than a clinic. It is a place of hope, compassionate care, and a second chance.

Your generosity helps ensure that patients like Yolanda—and families like hers—have somewhere to turn when they need care most.
