The volunteers that provide direct and supportive patient services are the heart and soul of SHM. Volunteers come from the communities served by SHM, many through local churches and other community organizations. If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the community, and want a life-enriching experience of working with a group of compassionate people, you are welcome to visit the clinic during a Monday evening or Wednesday morning session to see what we are about. Bi-lingual (primarily Spanish) volunteers are more than ever needed. Volunteer application forms are available under the forms link in the main menu.

Health Care Professionals
SHM seeks to expand its pool of health care professional volunteers. Physicians, Physician Assistants, ARNPs, RNs, LVNs, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs are currently on our health care professional team. We welcome additional team members!

Support Volunteers
SHM seeks to expand its pool of supportive staff for both clinic and organizational work. Some of the skills we can use include: Spanish translators/interpreters, bookkeeping, data entry, receptionist, building maintenance, office tasks such as filing and copying, desktop publishing for design of brochures and flyers.
