How much will my visit cost?
We are a low-cost clinic that utilizes a sliding-scale. We are not a free clinic, but we certainly offer quality care for a very, very low cost! After being screened on a Monday evening, we will better be able to discuss your individual costs. Please bring proof of income!
Where do I get my medications?
Most of our medications come from our on-site “pharmacy” in the clinic. We get drug samples and utilize the Patient Assistance Program (PAP) for most of our medications, and on occasion have had patients get their prescriptions from the very nearby Wal-Mart.

Do you need medical professionals?
Heavens yes! While we do not have medical malpractice insurance to cover you, we have been told by our Legal Advisor that the Good Samaritan Law provides the coverage you need. Many medical professionals carry their own policy and we hope that this does not deter you from wanting to help us out.
How often do I have to volunteer?
You can volunteer as little as once a month or every week; it is up to you! We are very flexible and more than happy to hear about your creative ways in which you may be able to offer support to SHM.

Do you need donations other than money?
Indubitably! Time, talents, and resources are great donations. A larger clinic would be the greatest donation we could possibly dream of!!! We do have specific needs for certain medical and dental equipment, medications, diabetic test strips, etc. We’ll work on a “Wish List,” but in the meantime, feel free to contact us or just donate!
